Units- Digital Stimulation LP

I originally touched on San Francisco synthpunk legends Units back in July 2006, so let’s flesh that post out a little bit with their lone full length release, 1980’s Digital Stimulation, which features a rerecorded version of ‘Warm Moving Bodies.’ The original version can be nabbed from the 2006 overview post, alongside a more detailed profile of the band. Otherwise, here’s the info proper:

1. High Pressure Days
2. Digital Stimulation
3. Warm Moving Bodies
4. Go
5. Mission
6. Cannibals
7. Bugboy
8. Tight Fit
9. Passion Or Patterns
10. Town By The River
11. Cowboy

Can you please post Snake Corps-Smother Earth?

surely. give me a day or two to zip it up.

  3. Featuring the Units is really a coincidence. I got really into them last year, and I’ve been in contact with Scott Ryser , one of the original founder members (I swapped him a drawing for some music) who I believe currently has plans to re-release some Units stuff in a book/cd set. I think there may have even been hints of the Units playing again if there was sufficient interest in the re-release.

Anyway, I was going to say hello anyway, because I just found this blog the other day and have been virtually orgasming over it, if that isnt too graphic a metaphor for you. I’ve plugged you on my site.

    All the best,
    Dave.

zshare… a great raft of popups, the countdown clock, and then absolutely nothing. Why didn't you use rapidshare or megaupload? This is just one big tease.

Thank you so very very much for sharing this album! I hope they do get back together – I'd be honored to be at one of their concerts, and would be sure to bring a few friends. I know one who already is a fan, and a few others who like High Pressure Days. Youtube introduced me through that song, you let me have the album which is great, and I would be happy to buy the album on CD or vinyl to support the band (and have a hard copy with liner notes) and then see the tour! 🙂

And hey, you've just got a great site in general! Thanks!
