{"id":1433,"date":"2012-07-10T02:18:57","date_gmt":"2012-07-10T02:18:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.systemsofromance.com\/blog\/?p=1433"},"modified":"2024-02-14T20:43:14","modified_gmt":"2024-02-14T20:43:14","slug":"days-of-29-destination-d-day-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.systemsofromance.com\/blog\/2012\/07\/days-of-29-destination-d-day-12\/","title":{"rendered":"Days of 29- Destination D-Day 12&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s another one you may have seen before on a few blogs, but freshly ripped from my own mint copy, so feel free to make your own comparisons.\u00a0 Days of 29 were a UK\/Scotland based quartet with an interesting press sheet and a penchant for New Order-tinged synthpop.\u00a0 <em><strong>Feel<\/strong> <\/em>those Peter Hook bass lines on &#8220;Destination D-Day,&#8221; a track that not only invokes the likes of &#8220;Blue Monday&#8221; and &#8220;Everything&#8217;s Gone Green,&#8221; but also bears a kinship to Secession&#8217;s classic &#8220;Touch,&#8221; Ministry&#8217;s &#8220;Effigy (I&#8217;m Not A),&#8221; &amp; Hohokam&#8217;s &#8220;Harlequin Tears&#8221; by way of a Marc Almond sound-alike on vox.\u00a0 A pretty irrefutable set of touchstones, highly recommended for fans of that big club sound.\u00a0 There are two other tracks on this 12&#8221;, though while nice, don&#8217;t hold a candle to the 7-minute main attraction, a <em>must<\/em> for all self-respecting dance floors everywhere.\u00a0 Hint: those of you who have hit the Wierd party in the past few years have likely heard this one blasting regularly through the fog&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.systemsofromance.com\/blog\/2012\/07\/days-of-29-destination-d-day-12\/days\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3165\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3165\" src=\"http:\/\/www.systemsofromance.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/days-300x298.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"298\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.systemsofromance.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/days-300x298.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.systemsofromance.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/days-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.systemsofromance.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/days.jpg 486w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Days of 29- <em>Destination D-Day<\/em> 12&#8221;<br \/>\n1.
