Turning Shrines- Face of Another 12”

Phew, sorry for the delay folks. Life’s been a whirlwind.

To make up for my absence, I’ve since acquired and ripped the first Turning Shrines 12” record, released in 1985 on Psychic TV’s Temple Records. These four tracks are a bit more catchy than the full length EP I posted a few entries back, but are no less enjoyable, through and through. Click here for the release and more info on Turning Shrines, but otherwise, here’s the scoop on this particular gem.

Turning Shrines- Face of Another 12”
1. Face Of Another
2. 1/4 Circle Black
3. Dirt Test
4. Waking Up In The Dirt

I never thought I'd enjoy anything to do with Psychic TV, but this isn't bad at all.
    Welcome back, by the way.

A perfect example of another artist-at-war with the unstoppable force that is the free expression of internet blogging. Though the link has been stopped, it is too late. It's out there now. Even offabeatport, it will have the potential to only be paid for once, while distributed a millon times. More and more artist are searching for the name of their old projects to see what has been said about them, and what may not be makeing them money. Which is cool, because it is 'their' work which most have every right of. Atleast this one is opting for new downloads of their work that people love. Many won't make that effort, but still whine when people illegally download it because they love the music. So many don't see the marketing potential of finding a way to re-release stuff these days. The New Wave, and others, has started to crest again. More should hitch a ride…

in regards to the post before this (about downloads and hitching a wave), i'd like to just take a second to plug the new Eleven Pond reissue LP that just came out on Dark Entries records. it was thanks to a blog post like this that enough interest was raised for a repressing! check it out and pick up a copy, and here's hoping posts like these help to bring fantastic and sorely out of print material to prominence and release!
