Daily Fauli- Fauli Til Dauli LP

Here’s a rare experimental/minimal treat to start your weekend, ladies and gents. Little information available about Daily Fauli, but this lone record, released in 1983 on Gry Records, is a minimal synth gem, through and through. Hailing from Denmark, Daily Fauli is the one man project of Søren Fauli, who now works exclusively in film.

Naturally, this particular gem is hard to come by on vinyl, fetching rather high prices on most auction sites, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. It’s pressed on transparent green vinyl to boot, making it an extra rare and unique treat.

Anyway, enough blabbering, here’s the information proper:

I had actually just heard this for the first time about 2 weeks ago. A rather nice piece of music:) Thanks for posting it.

Nowadays, he is a respected film-maker, having graduated from National Film School of Denmark. He is a writer, actor, and director of many works, including drama, documentary, and comedy.

I wouldn’t say he is a respected film-maker. Sure, he did make the punk cult movie “De skrigende halse”, but since then he has been most known for his terrible feature “Grev Axel” and for his role in a Danish candy commercial playing a chocolate turtle. Most Danes thinks of him as a silly man-baby.

  6. Thanks for posting such a rare minimal synth gem, I really love it!
If you have any of the Greg Vandike singles can you please post them too,
    Thanks a lot

  7. I was just looking for this a few days ago, after having heard the great driving track “Speed” on the online radio show Minimal Electronik Plus. It reminds me of the track “El Ninos de Parque” by Liasons Dangereuses. Ironically I did see this post previously, but because I was searching “Daily Follie” it did not come up. Hyped to √ out the full length!

I have a feeling the host actually downloaded it through this blog!

  8. Wow. “Bird” sounds like something off Ween’s Pod LP. Nice.

  9. What’s with the relationship he has with that cat of his?? ha
Got any idea how many of the Fauli Til Dauli LP were issued?

Fauli til Dauli was released in 500 copies.

  12. Thank you.

  13. Ít is correct that 500 copys were made, but only very very few were actually sold, og the remaining copies are nowhere to be found. My estimate is, that there is less than 100 copies out there. I am a recordcollector living in Copenhagen, and might have seen on sale 3-4 times in 25 years.
And though I would like to know from where I have my own copy from I really can´t remember. Damn …
