Panoramas- Amanda 12”

Here’s another French post-punk/coldwave release, dating back to 1981. Can’t seem to dig up a ton of info on Panoramas, but this particular 12” was released on Polydor. There’s also a 7” version of the record, which you can nab over at Dreams and Voices. However, this 12” features two additional tracks! The real gem of the lot is the title track. While more romantic and less dark than many of their contemporaries, these tracks are catchy as hell.

Panoramas- Amanda 12”
1. Amanda
2. Sinbad the Sailor
3. Les Secrets Du Pharon
4. Future Star

You are right, the title track is it, though the rest is far from bad. Great songwriting, what a fantastic discovery of yours! Thank you very much!

Great blog, kudos to ya. Had the Panoramas 12'' for years, bought it back then actually, but funny thing is that even here in France it is almost impossible to find any information about the band. Sunk without a trace, indeed. I read some place that some members have moved on to another band name of Nagaika Djinn, of which I've never heard. Whatever; great record, albeit I personally prefer Sinbad.

  6. According to this, , ex Panoramas members founded Nagaika Djinn, along with ex Vox Dei’s François Deshaye. Afterwards, I found nothing, sorrily.
